Today I remember those that came before me.
Those that paved the way.
Those that influenced that way I was brought up.
Those that had an amazing impact on my life.
To you who look down on me today from the starry skies...

If I never told you how much you meant to me; how much I cared; how long I cried; how tough I tried to be while my heart broke, shattered, crumbled.
If I never let you in on my life in fear that I would be hurt.
If I shied away from your touch, not allowing your tenderness to invade my life.
I'm SORRY!
You were always ready and willing.
There was never a harsh word.
There were only open arms and a smile waiting.
For that, I am truly grateful.
You showed me how to live the way God wanted me to.
You showed me what a Christian should be.
I am changed forever.
